Status/Verification
Recipients are required annually to complete a Status/Verification form so the South Dakota Board of Regents can confirm their current enrollment or employment status and monitor continued compliance with scholarship requirements.

The Critical Teaching Needs Commitment
Each recipient agrees in writing to work in a Critical Teaching Need Occupation in South Dakota following completion of their program of study. Recipients must complete five years of qualifying employment to fulfill the scholarship obligation.
If a recipient does not complete the required commitment, the scholarship converts to a low-interest loan which must be repaid.
