How do I apply for the SD Opportunity Scholarship?

Students can apply for the SD Opportunity Scholarship by logging in to the SD Board of Regents Scholarship Portal using the appropriate log-in.   Once they have logged in to the portal, if available, the SD Opportunity Scholarship application will be listed on the home screen.  Students can click the application link and complete the application.  

What if I am Dual Enrolled Student Applying for South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship?

When students are enrolled in the South Dakota Regental System (BHSU, DSU, NSU, SDM, SDSU, and USD), they will have a credential in the scholarship system related to the campus they attended as a high school dual-enrolled student.  This is the same user ID (email) and password they utilized for their courses at one of the universities (First.Name@campus.edu). 

1. For students who are having challenges related to that user ID/password, they should submit a request to the General Scholarship Questions - Contact Us Form.  Please document the question and which campus they attended, and our team will assist with accessing the system.

2. For students who have graduated from high school or will be graduating and have selected a non-Regental university to attend, students should request that their email be changed to their new email address and student ID at their new campus by using the General Scholarship Questions - Contact Us Form. 

3. For all other questions, utilize the General Scholarship Questions - Contact Us Form and our team will assist you.
