BOR - SD Opportunity Scholarship - Funding Documents

Please confirm that the funding reported from Banner and Scholarship manager match the funding you are awarding on your campus.   The following information can help you understand the funding roster document that is shared with you. 

FALL Funding Documents:

Following October 1st, The BOR office will verify that the SD Opportunity Scholarship funding in Scholarship Manager and the scholarships awards reported in Banner match.  This will verify the amount that will be paid to the campus for the SD Opportunity Scholarship. 

This document will be shared to the campus in the shared GO-Anywhere secure folder - the campus will be notified when the document is saved and available.  

About the Campus Funding Document

In the campus funding document, the below 3 tabs can be found. 

SDSU-Banner

This is a copy of the COGNOS Report of awards for your campus reported in Banner. 

SDSU-SMAward Report

A report of all scholarship awards for your campus in Scholarship Manager.   This report does show both the fall and spring terms - and unfortunately these are not labeled in this report.  The spring awards typically match the Fall award at this time unless the student has been awarded the full $2600 for the fall term.  Additional adjusting to spring awards will be made following the fall term and an eligibility check. 

SDSU-Term Funding

This table pulls the information from both the previous tabs and splits out the Fall and Spring funds found in the Scholarship Manager report.    See the below image for more information regarding the information reported here.   The ultimate goal, is to verify that the Total for Fall 2024 (Scholarship Manager) and Banner Award match. 

Please confirm that the funding roster and funding amount matches the amount you are reporting on campus and let the BOR office know.
